Hey all,
So I am thinking of having a different blog for all things that are not "geekish". My question is, do other do this? Or do they just keep one blog and update that with whatever they feel like is appropiate.
I say this because I have a tendancy to not update my personal life (or just what I think is going on in the world) enough and want to concentrate on that more. But am unsure if I should make a seperate blog for it.

Yeah, just as the title says, miscommunation on any leve sucks. But especially when you are trying to make a game with a few of your closest friends and somehow you misread something they were trying to say. Or they did not do a good job of clarifying what they mean. Both sides are wrong in that case and you end up making something out of nothing.
My friend Chris put something on his blog that upset me. I felt it implied something about me that did not seem to be true. The second problem was not exactly keeping my friends in the loop as to what I was doing regarding certain networking aspects of our project.
As usual with the fact that in this age people rarely talk face to face, we are left to decipher text messages, emails and blogs. Don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of the blog (or email), but that doesn't mean they are always clear. Lets face it sometimes when you put something on a blog, it does not come out the way you mean for it too. Hell, that happens to me as well. But in this case I ended up getting upset and it took an email or two for us to get things resolved.
Lesson #1. Communicate better and be careful what you type in a blog or email. Say what you mean to say and there will be no problems (usually).
Lesson #2. Communicate better and let your partners know what you are up too. That way they are not surprised by anything.
The positive that came out of this is that Chris and I may have a better understanding of each other and maybe we can use this as a positive moving forward.
